People power at its best on this issue I would guess Mike! Long Live Strathclyde!
Thanks for your wishes on the bushfires here in Victoria. The Golden City Band didn’t compete a couple of weeks back because the fires got to within a couple of kilometres of the city centre. Unfortunately my workplace (school) has been affected by loss of life in past families and total property loss. Although we were/are not directly near in Ballarat, some of my colleagues were off to fight the fires as volunteers fire fighters in local brigades. So There are few in the state who have remained totally unaffected in some way or other. Your concerns are appreciated Mike.

According the P|D the StrathPol hierarchy have already bowed to the obvious pressure (perhaps from the Glasgow City Council and Scottish MPs?) and they can continue competing. We’ll see how it all washes out, but that news is promising!

What a kick in the balls this is….
The FB “Save the Strathclyde Police Pipe Band” is well over 1000 as of this morning. It will be sent into the Police HQ soon.
